  • Getting started is simple. Click the Book Now button to request your first appointment through our secure client portal. After scheduling, your therapist will contact you for a brief consultation to better understand what brings you to therapy and answer any initial questions you may have.

Next, you will complete your intake forms and either provide your insurance information or select the self-pay option.

If you plan to use insurance, we are happy to help verify your benefits before your first session. You may also contact your insurance company directly and ask the following questions:

    • Do I have a deductible? If so, how much is it?

    • Do I have a copay? If so, how much is it?

    • Do I have coinsurance? If so, what percentage am I responsible for?

Please remember that insurance benefits are determined by your insurance provider, and any deductible, copay, or coinsurance amount is your financial responsibility.

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to discuss your goals, explore your concerns, and create a personalized plan to help you move toward healing, growth, and a more empowered life.

  • At Empowered Life Counseling, I believe that therapy is about more than managing symptoms—it's about helping you reclaim your strength, rediscover your purpose, and create lasting change. My philosophy is simple: when you learn to own your mind, you empower your life.

Rather than focusing solely on what's wrong, I work collaboratively with you to build on your existing strengths while developing new skills for overcoming life's challenges. My approach combines evidence-based therapies with a deep respect for the whole person—mind, emotions, relationships, and, when desired, spirituality.

As an EMDR Certified Therapist, I specialize in helping clients heal from trauma and move beyond experiences that may be keeping them stuck. I integrate EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, and other proven therapeutic approaches to create a personalized plan that supports your unique goals and values.

For clients who desire it, I also incorporate spirituality and faith-based principles into the counseling process. Whether you are healing from spiritual wounds, searching for meaning, or seeking to strengthen your connection to your faith, therapy can provide a safe space to nurture both emotional and spiritual well-being.

Above all, my goal is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where you can gain clarity, build resilience, and develop the confidence to move forward. I don't believe therapy should create dependence—I believe it should empower you with the insight, skills, and courage to live the life you want to create.

  • Getting in touch is easy. You can click the Book Now button to request an appointment through our secure client portal, use the contact form on our website to ask a question, or call our office directly.

  • I offer both insurance-based and self-pay options to help make counseling accessible and flexible.

If you plan to use insurance, your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your specific plan and may include a deductible, copay, or coinsurance. We are happy to help verify your benefits before your first appointment, or you may contact your insurance provider directly to better understand your coverage.

If you prefer not to use insurance, self-pay services are available. Private pay offers greater flexibility and privacy, as it does not require a mental health diagnosis to be shared with your insurance company.

If you have questions about fees, insurance coverage, or which option may be best for you, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are happy to help you make an informed decision before getting started.

  • Working with me is about more than talking through problems—it's about helping you reclaim your strength and discover that you have the capacity to create meaningful change. I believe that when you learn to understand your thoughts, emotions, and experiences, you begin to own your mind and empower your life.

Therapy is a collaborative process. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you as you gain insight, build resilience, and develop practical tools to overcome life's challenges. Together, we'll identify patterns that may be holding you back and create a personalized plan that aligns with your values and goals.

I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported.
